hi
has anyone managed to get the groovebox to sync? I feel like I'm missing something obvious but the tempo knob still controls the tempo even when the adv/clock port is patched into sync out.. my patch below for ref.
thanks!

Re: Groovebox sync?
The negative DC offset on both TEMPO and TEMPO PWM seems to override the internal tempo clock pretty effectively (I still set the knob to the slowest possible speed). Sending the Sync Divider's output to both the ADV/CLOCK and TRIGGER inputs makes a difference. Ignore the trigger counter... that's just to reduce the GrooveBox to eight steps like the DFAM.

Re: Groovebox sync?
Hi simonpyke , know that owning Groovebox you can download for free this module : https://store.cherryaudio.com/modules/daw-tempo-sync
Here's the picture to make the right connections.

Downloaded. Thanks!
Re: Groovebox sync?
thanks all, this is helpful!
my next challenge is figuring out how speed up the clock from 4th to 8th / 16th etc. I grabbed the DMT clock multiplier thinking that would work but it outputs a clock even when there is no input and seems to ignor the input clock.. this might be a question for the DMT forum ..

Re: Groovebox sync?
hi,
leaving the clock divider issue to the side for a moment - are you finding the above method (daw tempo to sync module) syncs properly? I'm hearing quite a big delay between the metronome and the triggers in groovebox which should be in sync. it seems to work fine with Drum trigger sequencer (for example) so I don't *think* its the daw sync output at fault. I'm using Logic (also tested in bitwig)
any thoughts on some setting I've missed?
thanks

Re: Groovebox sync?
in case anyone else has this issue, I found a work around by syncing via the cherry drum trigger sequencer, which works great..
now I figured Pat-O-Gen should work now the same way, but I've had no luck at all syncing that (with this method or the DAW tempo sync module). has anyone had luck syncing that module, I'm keen to try it?
cheers
