Blue 3 - a step back

GG Audio's Blue3 tonewheel organ is back, better, and more affordable, with a whole new look from Cherry Audio.

Blue 3 - a step back

Post by Martin-MM »

Migration to Cherry Audio's version of Blue 3 seems to be one or more steps back. Things like adjusting the Tone Wheels, etc. unfortunately have been dropped. O.k., it is cheaper than the original was. Having both of them I do not see a reason to switch to the new version.

The effects are a step forward.
What I miss is the option to place the reverb before the Leslie
And in general the fast speed of the Leslie could be improved.
For me the best sounding Leslie is from IK Multimedia, but is needs a lot of CPU.

Hi PianoPaul,

yes, you're right and I am using the IK-Multimedia Rotary in Amplitube and as a Standalone Effect. I am thinking about buying NEO Instruments Ventilator II as an external effect pedal.
I do not need the internal effects since I pass the Blue3 Output to external effects.
Concerning the customization of the partials (custom tone wheels setting) - this was a nice feature since you could implement other instruments with that - sad that it got dropped. I have this feature with my Keyboard Partner HX3 and Keyboard Partner's Measurement Software.
