Here is an ovservation on the 962. I do not have the hardware, so I am not sure how it is supposed to behave, but from the idea of the module I would not expect the following, which I find in the VM 962:
If I connect a clocked gate or trigger to BOTH the input 1 and the SHIFT, I would expect that on the output only every second trigger or gate is present.
However, even in the case that the 962 shifts to step 2, there is a short trigger on the output, which is enough to trigger other sequencers downstream.
My suspicion is that internally, the inputs are first served and copied to the output, before the SHIFT is performed. When using the 962 on pitch CVs this does not matter, but it means that the 962 cannot be used as a clock divider. Is that in accordance to the hardware, or is it a bug?
Cheers,
Martin

Re: VM 962
The behavior of the module is correct. Move the SHIFT patch cord on the second 962 to TRIGGER OUT 2 on the first. Works as a divider just fine.
Thanks and keep the observations coming.
