Stuck note after soloing an OSC and turning off the Arp with Arp Hold on

Dreamsynth Version 1.4.0 Build 133 on Windows 10

I am getting a stuck note every other time I do the following:

• select "80s Sequencer Bass"
• enable Arp for the Synth section
• enable Hold for the Arp section
• press some notes on the QWERTY keyboard and release them.
• disable Arp for the Synth section

Pressing Hold does not stop the note. Spamming the original notes played notes on the QWERTY Keyboard will eventually kill the stuck note.

I never used the QWERTY Keyboard, but I gave your steps a try and had the stuck note bug. I recommend reporting it officially.

Pressing and releasing note that is stuck from a usb keyboard, turns off the stuck note.

Other observations:
(1) You didn't mention turning the Sustain on, but I am guessing you had it on (maybe) because one of your steps is "press some notes on the QWERTY keyboard and release them."
(2) Sometimes when turning Sustain on or off and pressing the Reset button, I did not get a note being stuck when I disabled the Arp.
(3) Sometimes for no apparent reason, the arp goes into double time. Sometimes when this happens, changing the Sustain and Reset states as well as notes previously selected to arpeggiate will knock the double time off. Once that happens, there isn't a stuck note after disabling the Arp. (This seems like what you describe as "Spamming the original notes played notes on the QWERTY Keyboard will eventually kill the stuck note.")

FWIW I don't use an MPE Keyboard, so under Settings I have MPE Mode Disabled.

Sustain- The Sustain button mimics the functionality of a standard sustain pedal. Click the [TAB] key to engage sustain, or [SHIFT]+[TAB] to lock it. The Sustain button can also be engaged by mouse clicking it.

Reset- Initializes all MTK parameters including keyboard range and control parameters.

IMPORTANT: If MPE mode is enabled, you must use a MPE controller set to”Lower Mode” to achieve full MIDI control. If you're using a non-MPE MIDIController, or the QWERTY Musical Typing keyboard, only one mono voice will trigger

For the VM QWERTY keyboard there is a shortcut which seems not to be documented in VM help: Key Z (German layout, Y in English layout) moves keyboard range one octave lower. So when you press Z key, note starts and octave moves at same time. When you now release key, noteOff comes for an other note than played before.

Reverse function is 'X'. It rises keyboard range by one octave. When you press this key once or several times, you might kill previous sticking note.

I have submitted a bug report.

This is all about the Arp section of Dreamsynth.

Using the QWERTY keyboard was more about reducing the test case to just Dreamsynth.

Normally I use an Arturia MicroFreak as my keyboard over USB MIDI.

I didn't use the QWERTY keyboard's sustain feature to trigger the bug.

But, I am noticing that Note Priority is affecting Dreamsynth as well.

If I have it set as Low and repeat the steps, notes below the stuck note will play, but not the notes above it.

If I have Note Priority set to HI then no notes sound below what I had pressed. Notes above will play.

Pressing the stuck note key will clear it.

Also, pressing any of the Note Priority buttons clears the stuck note.
